Monet, Renoir... Chagall. Journeys around the Mediterranean

The Atelier des Lumières presents a new immersive experience in Impressionism and modernism. After the exhibition devoted to Van Gogh. The exhibition will immerse visitors in the masterpieces of twenty artists, including Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, Matisse, Signac, amongst others.

These artists all inspired by Van Gogh departing Paris, and used pure colour express his artistic interpretations. In the 1880s, many artists flocked to the Meditarranean. It was at this point that they developed a new approach to the representation of light and colour.

Visitors will be taken from one artistic movement to another: from Impressionism, with Monet and Renoir, to pointillism with Signac and Cross, and Fauvism with Camion, Derain, Vlaminck, and Marquet and Matisse. More than 500 pieces from around the world will be used to immerse guests with lights and colours.

From 28th February 2020 to 31st January 2021 at l'Atelier des Lumières
