As 50 years have passed since the first human step on the moon. It is fitting to celebrate the long history that links humans with this celestial body, through the objects and works of art that have been inspired by it.

This five-part exhibition in the Grand Palais is a journey to the Moon, crossing through both real and imaginary dimensions . Visitors are taken on a voyage through time with each step, revealing creations from Antiquity to the modern day, evoking European insight into the moon as well as African, Arab and Far Eastern civilisations.
